Every month, we showcase the most talented photographers in the world.
Now it’s your turn to join the ranks. Enter your favorite photo in
the 2025 Arizona Highways Photography Contest.

You could win one of several prizes, and the winning photographs will be published online
and in our September 2025 issue.

Our contest is open to amateur and professional photographers. All photos must be made in Arizona and fit into the category of Landscape, Wildlife or Macro (close-up).

This particular Gambels Quail(Callipepla gambelii) has affectionately been given the name Magnus. His little family of his mate and babies live in our brush pile.

A young Gambels Quail (Callipelpa gambeli) perch’s in the rain. Quail are a true Arizona icon. They are one of my favorite subjects to photograph.

The Javelina/Peccary (Tayassu tajacu) is a true Arizona icon! This individual was wandering with its family group and came through my yard. I happened to have my camera and quickly snapped this shot.

“Raven Step”
The Common Raven or “Corvus Corax” is a popular and recognizable species native to Arizona. This was a very curious individual.
