Every month, we showcase the most talented photographers in the world.
Now it’s your turn to join the ranks. Enter your favorite photo in
the 2025 Arizona Highways Photography Contest.

You could win one of several prizes, and the winning photographs will be published online
and in our September 2025 issue.

Our contest is open to amateur and professional photographers. All photos must be made in Arizona and fit into the category of Landscape, Wildlife or Macro (close-up).

The May 2024 aurora was spectacular. Mt. Ord sits amongst the trailing stars while the aurora dances in the view. This is about 30 minutes of capture time for the star trails.

This local great horned owl sits on a pine tree while the full moon sets behind it. I have tried to photograph this scene for four years and finally captured it in one shot!

This black vulture sits on a dead tree drying off while waiting for the sun to rise. Note - I did edit a few branches from another dead tree out of the frame to improve the composition.
