Arizona State Parks and Trails is offering guided hikes under the full moon this weekend.

The hikes will take place Friday, January 18, and Saturday, January 19, at Lost Dutchman State Park, east of the Phoenix area.

Each hike starts at 6 p.m. at the base of Superstition Mountains and follows the Jacob’s Crosscut Trial for 2.5 miles.

Only 100 people can go each night; interested hikers are asked to reserve a space by calling 480-982-4485. There is a $3, non-refundable reservation fee.

Hikers are advised to dress appropriately with trail shoes or boots, and to bring a flashlight in case it is cloudy. The hike is recommended for people in good health with no walking or night vision problems. Strollers and walkers are not suitable for this hike, and pets are not allowed.
