Harris’ hawks are found in much of Central and Southern Arizona, so knowing this bird’s species probably won’t help you figure out where this photograph was made. But what about the sculpture on which the hawk is perched? Here’s a hint: This facility has been around since the Truman administration.

Yes, this sign is along Historic Route 66 — at a motel. But since about 400 miles of the “Mother Road” are in Arizona, figuring out exactly what town it’s in could be a challenge. Good luck.
